honey becomes very highly toxic when heated. to the point that it killed honey bees and even lab rats in studies. it would actually be safer to use sugar. some good alternatives: maple syrup, jaggery, coconut sugar

I wonder how you cook honey! I can't even mix it with hot tea; I will have to wait for three to five minutes before applying honey to the tea mixture. If you heat the honey to 100 degrees, you'll kill all nutrients including natural bee honey, especially when cooking honey is an artificial one, not bees.
