Children no. Hi I study psychology professionally and let me clear this up. You are talking about it maladaptive daydreaming. Maladaptive daydreaming is not creating fake scenarios in your head. Most people do that. It’s when you constantly think of those scenarios until you struggle to tell them apart from reality. Coming up with scenarios in general is perfectly healthy. Its a normal part of our creativity and imagination.
