@newsnexussa: Wiandre Pretorius has died after taking his own life at a petrol station in Brakpan on the East Rand. Earlier this week, Pretorius claimed there was an attempt on his life outside his Boksburg home, where several shots were fired. Pretorius and others were implicated in the 2022 murder of a Brakpan suspect. The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has finalised its investigation and referred the docket to the National Prosecuting Authority. He was a police reservist.
