I bet they don't like the girl (principal and teacher) because she's not in the special needs classes but still needs accommodations that likely would get them in trouble of they're caught cutting corners (i.e recordings) There was a hearing impaired teacher with a reddit story who talked about this & how they did not want to accommodate her disability because there was no way they could cut corners when there's a paper trail for everything

as an early education major the teacher absolutely was unprofessional and overreaching by telling the parents who should be watching rhe children and who can help her with work. we are taught to form positive relationships with ALL family members as they are part of the child's influence.
