Unfortunately, loyalty is a death trap in this world now. It gets you used, abused, and left to pick up the shattered and tattered remains of your heart for the next several years. All it took was being loyal to 1 girl who I found out later didn't even actually care about me to get completely destroyed and left too cynical to be able to ever love again. I found out the hard way that it doesn't pay to be in a romantic relationship, let alone be loyal in either that or any other kind of relationship. Loyalty just puts a target on your back and a knife in someone else's hand. I didn't ask to become like this, but it happened anyway...
