Why can’t they just have the homeless come by at closing time and pick up all the leftovers I don’t understand it at all. This was not like that when I worked at Pizza Hut in the 90s. I don’t know that we ever threw pizza away gave it away.

When you work at a kind of fast food, not even the employees are allowed to take the leftover food home. I worked at McDonald’s and we weren’t even allowed to take the leftover food home now will be close. Certain managers would let us take it home whatever’s left over but we weren’t supposed to be a good people to leave the food behind then they would know that they were trying to give away free food so that all managers let you take home food, but even during the day there was employees they got fired because they took a fry out of the fryer thing and took a sandwich that they were gonna throw away anyway employee took it got fired. Somebody gave a free drink to employee on their day off and both of those employees got fired. Someone took a nugget one time got fired and they put cameras all around in the store so they would catch people doing that, but they weren’t always on and people would sneak food on the assembly line in the bin and if they caught you, the store manager or the owner, they will fire you. They don’t care if it’s being thrown away they count all that stuff to see how much they wasted. I don’t know if all fast food does that or pizza placesbut they’re not supposed to give away the food even if it’s going to be thrown away even if somebody is starving on the streets, they get fired for that that place should know better.
