i was diagnosed with asthma at 21, confirmed the diagnosis at 22! I’ve had shortness of breath and chest tightness all my life but always wrote it off. I’ve also had a post nasal drip since kindergarden. what got me to go see a doctor was when my new boyfriend (now bf for 2years) informed me that my nose stinks. not just a slight smell, actual stink. It was after I had covid for the second time (btw covid + untreated asthma is hell, idk how i survived). went to see a doctor for it because i thought it was from the covid or mold exposure complications (my school of 9 years had actinomycete) at that point since i already knew from my dental x-rays that show my sinuses have thickened mucus membrane. instead got diagnosed with asthma. whoopsie doopsie

I developed asthma after my first bout of COVID-19. Since my first COVID-19 positive test in 2020, I’ve had COVID 20 times, Influenza A 1 time, and chest infections over 20 times. I’m now almost 20 and only just diagnosed with asthma. It has taken 5 years for them to believe me.

With that inhaler don’t forget to swish a drink about your mouth after having it as it’ll cause thrush otherwise!

I did all of this and results were asthma and allergies. Now I have severe persistent asthma. It is not joke. Sucks and I have always been so active.
