Agree with this, neo-liberal economic reform has done irreperable damage to the west; it has regressed the political consciousness of the proletariat in the imperial core, tenfold of what it was beforehand -the workers can no longer directly see their own exploitation because what they create with their labour is intangible. Not sure where this is purely a right wing idea. As a leftist (even an anarchist) I totally agree with having a strong local economy instead of outsourcing all the industry out of our country. It ruins a country and puts an economy to it's way to ruin itself
