We were ignored for 20 mins once so I phoned the restaurant we were in and said "hello can you send someone to table 12 to take our order?" They looked after us very well after that and comped our drinks.

Me and my bf went to Denny's. The check-in lady sat us at a table, gave us our menus and said someone would be with us shortly. 45 mins and a bunch of staff ignoring us later, we walked out. I was loud about it bc I have NEVER been treated like that! My bf tried to quiet me, but that never works for him 😂

My son went to a posh restaurant with his boss once and after being ignored for ages , he got up and said loudly ‘ I’m sorry I didnt realise we were supposed to order at the bar ‘ they were then very well looked after xx

We were in a coffee place in York yesterday and had to ask where our pastries were as we had nearly finished our coffee and she had the nerve to bark " we are busy" honestly they were not!! needless to say we didn't pay for the pastries 😜

Ive been in that situation a few times, Ive also done the same thing, there is a pleasure in walking out, its like spotting the red flags on a bad first date and not getting yourself tangled up in a relationship, once you order drinks you are commited to staying for a horrible evening of disrespect and frustration.
