@bukulocal: Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale puts on my favorite ball, and I love it for so many reasons: ✅ Time: 6 pm to 1 am was almost perfect for my old self. I want to party between 8-10 pm and for a special occasion I can make it stretch to maybe midnight. @officialswv went on at 11:30 pm and then @djariespins closed it out. ✅ The Food: The food was great! I can’t speak for the fish or chicken (I always avoid those at large catered events) but the braised short rib was so good, and even better over creamy, buttery grits. ✅ Drinks and Restroom: The open bar and bathrooms — easily available and not as far as having to walk at the convention center. Shoutout to the bartender, Corey! ✅ The organization: it was so easy to know where to meet up with a friend with all the numbered tables. It’s also relatively intimate because its members and invite only. ✅ The space: it was not cramped at all. You had room around your table to speak with friends, take photos, dance, relax. You weren’t backing into the people behind when moving your chair, or getting caught behind some type of metal gate.
