Had one of my worst flights with an Swiss a220. Uncomfortable, no space and super small. Prefer the a320 over it any day but the 737max clears, especially the Icelandair 737 max9

220is a awesome acft to fly…. And the engine issue has all been fixed. The E2s also use the same engine.

Idk about other airlines, but JetBlues A220s are pretty nice, definitely a good fit for the company replacing the embraers

That was the most uncomfortable flight I’ve ever head with Baltic airlines. The embraer E2 is a much more comfortable airplane.

Yeah but P&W has largely fixed the issues in new builds. But yeah I think with the 500 variant being slotted for later 2020’s they should have had CFM and Pratt build refreshed or new versions and made it easier for options. Plus sunset the a320neo program once backlog is ordered since the a225 and smallest a320 overlap too much.

Airasia didnt order because they already have A320 family fleet. New aircraft type requires a lot of training for their staff and also requires different ground equipment.

it wasn't built by airbus btw the a220 was by bombardier it was a c series then bombardier rebrand the c series into the a220 to airbus
