If I remember when T-Rex was first found they thought it had 3 fingers like Allosaurus until more fossils showed that it had 2 fingers around the 1960’s

They’re one of my favorite types of dinosaurs though I’m curious about the drastic difference between the Jurassic movies and general and the actual history of them. I think they just made it 3 fingers to make it scarier, but. When Tyrannosaurus rex was found, the artist drew 3 fingers because he was also drawing other theropods and mistook the tyrannosaurus for 3 fingers and instead of 2. I might be wrong tho.
