I think there are just topics that are very polar, and based on core opposite values. It’s difficult to find a common ground for topics like state intervention (including taxes), views on non normative families, and even the type of judicial system. Sometimes the said common ground is actually impossible and on me of the groups need to concede to what it defines it (e.g. accepting that some people is assigned a wrong gender at born; innovation needs lower state intervention for a country to be globally competitive…).

Because of "label thinking". Pattern recognition is basic survival tool, but nowadays in social media and 1-minute videos era, our thinking became lazy. We see some "red flag" and immediately draw the rest of other persons beliefs based on one single aspect. Which is quite often accurate, but still radicalizing both sides.

Oohhh, I think you should've opened with your conclusion (and made it one of those looping videos), because you really struck a cord and voiced it beautifully 🔥 very strong arguments and insights too. Recognizing that opposing groups make a case that can't be factually disproven, how would you work towards solutions for the issues at the core of those debates?
