The guard was found to make a post on 4chan regarding unusual nature of that night 2 hours before it happened. The investigation done by the feds (not 4chan) was in the files and was found that he WAS a guard there.

Even if he is an agent, I don’t see why The Man would spend the money to bail him out in some elaborate op instead of just killing him, given that he’s no longer operationally viable & would’ve been a huge liability in court.
