The IQ tests are designed to test for the skills western societies has deemed more important, most westerners would struggle to survive in the same situations other cultures live in just as much as they would struggle in ours

I think they score lower in some places cuz literacy rates and schools are not as good so people struggle to read the tests and do worse

Real Mensa IQ test does not test knowledge. It tests basic pattern matching and sequence recognition that even a child can do. So it is accurate.
