If it makes you feel any better, when you do get THE house you’re gonna have the biggest epiphany on why all these other houses didn’t work, the process is hard and stressful but when something sets in place you realize why all these adversity’s had to happen, you will find the house meant for you 😋 hopefully this problem is resolved!! I wish you the best of luck <33

I mean this in the nicest way possible.. but isn’t the seller paying closing costs kind of unheard of in this market? We bought a house last year and there was absolutely no chance that we would have got a house if we didn’t pay closing costs ourselves

I don’t get the appraisal thing. If the house appraises for less than the offer, and you have to either cover the cost or the offer is revoked…then why would that be a loss for them? They can just wait for another offer, no? I’m new to this

Awww such a bummer that they didnt accept your offer! Also, 99% of the time the appraisal comes back exactly what is offered bc everyone wants the sale to go through, including the lender. I don’t think they’d be as picky as to go as far as $20k(the appraiser) especially if they’re already priced lower than comps in the area. Fingers crossed it ends up working out for you! 🤞🏻

Sound like to me they are asking right up to what they think the house will appraise for . I’ve know houses here that have sold 100k over asking. 20k shouldn’t make or break an appraisal

Something may have been wrong with the home too. Also, you can pay the difference from appraisal to what would be approved for loan I believe.
