@godtobias: hi everyone i’m deeply saddened to share that unfortunately, my family’s beautiful restaurant has closed and, despite its name, is no longer operating at, nor in any way affiliated with, its original address 727 Matimyas ): more than a labor of love, it was something my entire family truly treasured- a baby my nanay, tatay, cousins, an extended family did all that they could to beautify, cherish, and honor as the space they invited people to enjoy. all of the green my tatay planted and fostered, the hand painted tables, the carefully selected lights and shapes, experiencing the food my nanay has been spending her entire life perfecting, the product of decades and decades of adversity and hard-earned taste all in the place my nanay grew up in- its closing truly breaks my heart. despite everything, my family continues to work hard to get through this difficult time and get back up and running. for now, if you’re fortunate enough to live in the LA area, my family’s small business @nanayssiomai is now operating and cooked by the chef responsible for @727’s beautiful food and renowned siomai! #manila #philippines #larestaurants #filipinofood
