My 2 year old has been consistently saying please and thank you since she could talk purely bc we say please and thank you to her. We've never told her to but modeling behavior is so important!

Was told recently at a restaurant by our waitress that my 3 kids were so well behaved I said really? She said yes you’d be shocked how many kids don’t say a single word to me. Yours have used their manors the whole time 🙌🏻

👏👏👏 I would always say "Thank you, Mama" when doing something for my son since he was at least 9 months old. He's 2 1/2 now and automatically says it (most of the time 😉).

yes yes yes!! literally don’t hand or do anything for my child until she asks the proper way. teach kids to use their words to express all emotions and now she knows how to say when she’s upset, nervous, sleepy etc

I see people get SO mad at their toddler when they come across as "rude". all you are modelling is anger... you just have to repeat back what you want them to say and they will learn 😭

people think im crazy when they see me do this, but then make the comments how my kids are well mannered. yeah because I give them the tools and expectations of how to behave. they need structure to function and they are better off for it.
