Hello hope you don't mind but i asked my professor about your poetry and how to publish since my professor is a published writer the following is what she responded. Poetry is a beautiful, lovely mixture of emotion and storytelling. Anyone can (and should!) write poetry. Publication of that poetry comes in many different forms, as you can see by this Instagram page. As far as I understand it, publishing/posting your own work on social media can be beneficial in that it gets your work out there, but at no cost—and sometimes, you can even make a bit of a profit depending on clicks/views, interactions, etc. The more "traditional" way to go about publication is through literary magazines or similar print or digital platforms. I was always encouraged by my professors to seek out magazines that do not charge for submissions, as that can get quite costly. Additionally, self-publication through sites like Amazon or those of the like can be expensive and rarely worth it. Social media or literary magazines would be my recommendation. Simply writing poetry, of course, is and always should be free. Hopefully everything works out.
