You should invest in one of the vacuum sealer bags and machine! I cut fruit once a month, vacuum seal it in small bags/servings and then keep it refrigerated then when I open it’s fresh and not brown!

For mild fruits like pear and melon just cover the cores or slices in sugar and store in the fridge for a few days. The sugar draws out all the moisture and it’s a concentrated “fresh” tasting syrup rather than a “cooked” flavor. I do it with cantaloupe it’s amazing!
