The spiciness could be coz there were no fresh tomatoes and tamarind added. If both of this were to be added in, the spiciness would have been lowered. Usually when we prepared paruppu, we like our side dish to be spicy may be like sambal of any kind. But paruppu will be a subtle taste and not spicy.

yesss i dont eat spicy dulu. then i met my husband. now i adjust every food to make it sedap to his spicy level. because its his meal. his curry his ayam sambal haha make sure puji sedap ok semua pedas now
