a lot of people get over whelmed when learning but if you can pull a tape and say okay that’s on a 16th line and just remember it’s all odd numbers count your 16th’s. 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15 1/8ths just same thing 1,3,5,7

Just learn quarter inch marks and eighth inch marks. Double either before or after the sixteenth you want and add or subtract one. 3/8 is 6/16 plus 1 is 7/16 or minus 1 is 5/16. 3/4 is 6/8 or 12 /16 plus 1 is 13/16, minus 1 is 16.
