Summary below 👇🏻 WHILE - We use "while" to show that two things are happening at the same time, usually with an action that lasts over a longer period of time and in a continuous tense: ⭐ "She tidied up the living room while her friend was chatting on the phone." ⭐ I replied to emails while waiting at the airport." (you can drop the subject here if the subject is the same in both parts). AS - "As" is often used to show two actions happening together, especially when there's a sense of development or change. Both actions gradually change together over time. ⭐ "As I practise more, I feel my skills improving." ⭐ "As we were heading to the park, it got darker and darker." You can also use "JUST AS" to emphasise that an action surprisingly happens at the exact same time as another: ⭐ "There was a knock at the door just as I sat down to have my dinner". WHEN - "When" pinpoints a specific moment in time. Unlike "while," which focuses on ongoing actions, and "as," which can show gradual change, "when" centres on a single event: ⭐ "When she told me the news, my heart sank." ⭐ "People cheered when he scored the final goal." #englishgrammar #grammarlesson #grammar #english #learnenglish #englishteacher #aprenderingles
