To this day, I couldn’t tell you who my parents voted for. Or my grandparents. Or my friends. And that was okay. Because respect mattered more than opinions. Beliefs were personal. Privacy was valued. And unity mattered more than being “right.” Now everything is a label. Even what you watch is supposed to define you. When did we trade unity for outrage?
