Turn that inward. Learn to develop yourself and reflect on that growth each day. As you grow you will set your own goals. In my own path, I passed threw 3 phases. Phase one is learning the basics of a thing. Donning it for the first time. Understanding the fundamentals. Phase two is becoming competent. At this phase, you can do the task well and instruct others with confidence. Phase three is to know the task so well that you can't do it wrong. In this phase, you notice little aspects and details that improve something about that task. Once you hit phase three the learning becomes infinite. The vast majority of the mechanics are automatic. Then your learning part of your brain can focus on the smaller details. And learn those well. If your dependent on others approval it holds you back and you can't get to phase three.
