The definition of slander is speaking falsely against someone. Confiding in a friend pain you experienced is not a sin. Close friends can offer insight and wisdom. If the friend you confided in goes and spreads that information, then yes, that would be gossip. If I’m wrong, I’m happy to admit so ….provided you have scripture to back up that claim.
