@73.yara: Ay Dilbere - Aram Tigran 💛 || Aram Tigran (1934–2009) was an Armenian singer, songwriter, and Oud player who became a celebrated figure in Kurdish music. Born to an Armenian family in Qamişlo, Rojava, he sang in Kurdish, Armenian, Arabic, and other languages, producing over 230 Kurdish songs and 150 Arabic songs during his career. He worked for Radio Yerevan in Armenia for 18 years before settling in Athens. He is considered one of the most significant contemporary Kurdish artists, often referred to as the "voice of a people without borders" due to his resonance with Kurdish audiences. He was born to parents from Diyarbakır, Turkey. He began playing the Oud at age six and gave his first concert at age 20. In 1966, he moved to Yerevan, Armenia, working at Radio Yerevan for 18 years. He moved to Athens, Greece, in 1995. He passed away in Athens on August 8, 2009. Despite wishing to be buried in Diyarbakır, Turkey, the Turkish government reportedly denied this request because he was not a Turkish citizen.
