@linearnoire: The biggest learning of my entire career. Tattooing is a privilege, not a guarantee, and it is a profession that can be taken away from you at any moment, whether through physical limitations, mental exhaustion, health issues, or circumstances you never planned for. It is a high risk job in every sense, and yet so many artists build their entire identity, income, and future around tattooing alone instead of around themselves as human beings. What often feels like safety, hiding behind the work and letting the art speak, can actually become incredibly limiting over time. That perceived sense of security can quietly turn into a trap, especially when everything depends on one ability and one body that is expected to function endlessly. The moment the focus shifts from tattooing to the person behind it, everything changes. Possibilities expand, flexibility appears, and growth no longer depends on doing the same thing forever. There is no need to suddenly start a completely new career when the foundation was never meant to be just the craft itself. I am sharing this because I see it every single day, on this platform and in real life, with colleagues and friends who are deeply affected by it, yet it is rarely talked about openly. If this resonates, I would love to hear your story in the comments below _____ #tattooartist #tattoosociety #tattoolifestyle #tattoocommunity #tattoolovers
