Roughly speaking, I’ll buy a 40 delta and sell a 30-35 delta. And yes, I look at 1yr, but you could also do 6mos or 9 mos. I like to separate that expry from my CC exprys.

If I understood you right, because this trade involved buying a spread ( Debit) + selling CC, and having the stock in portfolio how can I keep accounting of what I am doing? Just watching the stock level and decaying of CC? Considering I have trades in few stocks how can control P&L? Thank you

If you want more upside without the "naked" risk, consider a "Stock Repair Strategy" or simply rolling your covered call up and out if the stock tests your strike. This keeps your shares protected while capturing more movement.
