Oh my... We had cooling towers in my home town... remnants of a scrapped plan for a nuclear plant. It had been voted down generations before I was born. They were the backdrop of my entire childhood. Every secret, every trauma, every milestone they loomed in the surrounding landscape. So your piece...strikes so hard. I am the older sister, and I tried my best to guide him, myself just a child. WOW 👏
