@midwesttravelmama: This has to be one of the most family friendly resorts driveable from the Midwest, and you need to be adding it to your 2026 travel plans! 📍 YMCA of the Rockies, located in Estes Park, Colorado just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. Part resort, part nostalgic summer camp 🏕️ this is such a fun place that stay, and will have your kids begging to come back again and again! Why we loved this place: ✨So much to do for kids of all ages! My 4 year old and 9 year old were equally entertained, and I saw tons of older kids and teens having a blast here too ✨On-site dining options, so you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to ✨Lodging options for larger families ✨You can literally walk into Rocky Mountain National Park from the YMCA grounds ✨It’s a short drive into Estes Park, and to so many popular spots in RMNP ✨So much wildlife here! We saw deer, elk, turkeys, and tons of birds
