My son had anaplastic ependymoma. Completely unresponsive to all chemo. Surgery and radiation are the only options. In July of 2024 it spread to his lungs. We we're told nothing would work. And they were correct. He passed Dec 27th, 2025. I will never be the same. #fuckcancer #forever16

This is what I have! I’m 24 and recently got diagnosed back in September! I did radiation with chemo and am now getting avastin and modesyo. Luckily my symptoms have improved and I hope the modesyo stays working lol

Do you think cancer will ever be cured? After all, it’s mutated cells that somehow passed through the checkpoints of the cell cycle. Mutations are what drive evolution and if we don’t evolve as a human race we will cease to exist

I saw this in a pediatric patient as an EMT (the day of discovery). It was gut wrenching. One parent was a MD and knew exactly what this meant. I will never forget it

Paediatric oncology nurse in community and DIPG is so brutal. When I say a referral for this I know it is a palliative referral with an EOL at the end. Poor babies 🙁

There is a clinic Clinica 0-19 in Monterrey, Mexico that preyed upon DIPG families who desperately wanted to find treatment options for their children by offering them experimental treatment. The “doctors” who ran the clinic were the worst of the worst.
