Follow for more hidden gems and bucket list adventures across the U.S. 📍 Carlsbad, California ✨Our Valentine’s Day Itinerary: We stayed for the weekend. The perfect location if you want to be near the beach and also be able to explore the downtown area. We got some delicious coffee and some crepes Both are in town and within walking distance from our hotel. Had a peaceful morning where we rented a double kayak and explored the beautiful area. So relaxing and fun! Lunch was with some delicious Mexican food and drinks. The tacos were so fresh and tasty, our favorites were the Baja Shrimp and Chicken Verde. Right after lunch we explored the town a bit and relaxed before our next adventure. We rented bikes for 2 hours. We got to explore the coast and ride them for 10 miles round trip. It was such a beautiful ride and so peaceful! Definitely a must! Stopped for some drinks and appetizers right before sunset, such a beautiful view! To finish up the day we watched sunset at the beach and it was truly magical. The views were amazing and the weather was perfect all around! Got some dinner which has been open for over 49 years! Such a cool restaurant and you really see the authentic flavor in every dish! Last but not least, we grabbed dessert We got two chocolate covered strawberries and they were so juicy, definitely a must especially during Valentine’s Day! Overall we had such an amazing experience in Carlsbad and truly can’t wait to go back! If it’s this pretty during Winter we can’t even imagine how beautiful it must be during Spring and Summer!
