I have RA. Currently on Xeljanz Xr hydroxychloroquine. I've been on Xeljanz for 4 years now after taking methotrexate and prednisone that never helped. Things have been great up until 3 months ago when I started getting stiffer, and inflammation increased. I don't think the Hydroxychloroquine is working. what other inflammation med can be taken?

Xyrem got me into remission of the ME and FMS. Stopped for pregnancy. Haven't been able to access since. Used GAPS diet with supplements and herbs, removal of artificial light sources after dusk, and devoted meditation practice to regain remission. Economy took away access to most of it. LDN helps the pain only, but its been decades of medical care since remission, with zero positive progress and disease progression + more diagnoses equaling total removal of having any kind of life or leaving the house outside of medical appointments. The US HC System is catastrophically failing at helping chronic illness patients. Medical trauma is rampant, and being gaslight for years until some doctor finally looks for something new and you find out you weren't crazy, anxious, depressed, or a liar.

Love all the details and clarification! Think that terms often used in oncology with a diff context. Also had no idea about the scales.

What about ESR? For some reason, my CRP was low, but my ESR was really high. But yeah, my knees toes and elbows were very swollen. Diagnosed with RA. Started with methotrexate, but went to sulfasalazine. And. Enbrel. Pretty good.

From within. Instead of focusing on what you lack, start appreciating what you have now. A simple exercise: every day, write down three simple things that made you smile (a cup of coffee, a message from a friend, or even a moment of quiet). This trains your mind to notice the positives amid the noise. Stop comparing: remember that social media only shows the best shots, so don’t compare the behind-the-scenes of your exhausting life with other people’s perfect displays. 2. Managing your mind and emotions. Your thoughts are what color your world; if they’re dark, the world will look dull. Live in the moment; anxiety is living in a future that hasn’t arrived yet, and regret is living in a past that is over. Focus on the present. Accept your emotions; life isn’t constant happiness. It’s normal to feel sad or angry: accept these feelings, give yourself permission to express them, then move forward. 3. Investing in relationships: human beings are social by nature; having a supportive circle is the key to psychological resilience. Quality over quantity: one real friend who understands your silence is better than a hundred friends just for politeness. Giving: helping others releases feel-good hormones (endorphins). Make someone else’s day beautiful, and you’ll find your own day becomes more beautiful too. A message from a friend, or even a moment of quiet).
