girl don’t listen to the comments, i went to the ER because i just was not feeling right, like i had a gut feeling that I needed to go to the ER because whatever i was feeling wasn’t normal,everyone except my sister called me dramatic.. Turns out I was in the beginning stages of sepsis 😭

I’m in healthcare and I’d def say going to the ER is the appropriate choice. This could’ve been anything and lots of urgent cares won’t cut you open nor do they have extensive tests to even determine what this could’ve possibly been. Good on you!

These comments are PMO. Urgent care would send her straight to the emergency room because they don’t cut people open at urgent care. There’s literally a doctor in these comments, confirming that and has gotten many patients from urgent care with the same issue. On top of that, once that cyst is cut open she COULD have a serious medical reaction and at that point would be rushed to the ER. People need to stop commenting on medical stuff if they have no education or experience in it.

People are mad she went to the ER but when I went to urgent care to try and get antibiotics for pink eye they sent me to the ER because they “don’t deal with eye issue” so they wouldn’t deal with this either

ER Doc here - tbh, this is fine. Could be abscess, cyst, who cares. Looks like something encapsulated that I would drain then derm would take out outpatient, but she isn’t a doc. Can’t blame her for coming in. Urgent care would just send to me anyway

Everyone saying urgent care? They don’t do anything. And lots of times there are long waits to get into your doctor. Without knowing more this could have been an emergency. It’s her face, let the girl live.
