Woman here, I didn’t enjoy the ending. Linda is not a hero - yes she deserved to be treated better but she murdered and did some SA-adjacent crimes. I don’t think that should be rewarded. The ending, to me, is just bleak and vapid. Maybe that was the point.

I loved the ending. I get why a lot of people were upset by it because of how bleak it is and the villain coming out victorious, but it’s not like we haven’t seen bleak endings like this in movies before, so it really shouldn’t be a surprise. The message felt pretty clear though: “Villains aren’t born, they’re made.” That line, which Linda literally says, acts as a subtle hint and foreshadowing of her eventual descent into madness after the constant bullying and abuse from her boss pushed her to her limits.
