okay but wait, what if a student genuinely doesn’t use ai on a paper and it still gets flagged as ai? bim talking about students that went all out, tried hard on the essay didnt use any grammer sites or have any ai write it for them and its all their own words but gets marked as ai? i know a bunch of people thats had this happen and they got in trouble for something they never did.

Just letting you know!! These can be wrong sometimes. From personal experience, I once wrote an essay completely by myself and still got accused of using AI by a teacher.

My professor checks this I am pretty sure, he told me that it was”100% ai” when I told him I have proof of me writing it he didn’t want to see it I hate this because I didn’t use ai

some of this is just false accusations. you should know as a teacher how to differentiate from AI and students. my essay from last semester i have a 2 hour timelapse video of me writing my entire essay from start to finish and sent that in to my teacher after i turned it in because it came out to be 34% ai, but you can literally watch me write my entire essay

Gpt zero is incredibly unreliable. I’ve tested it personally to try find the best ai detector using real handwritten work I’ve personally done before ai was a thing and current work since I’ve obviously improved since then, and it still came back as ai. Even changing the wording and structure, taking the so called ‘ai language’ advice, it will still come back as ai. Ai in general learns from papers, mimics the writing style of humans to the point even past papers are now flagged as ai too, because ai has learnt their style from those papers. Which probably is why I’m cooked because I always learn to write like past papers and follow the structure/phrases to produce good work. But apparently that’s ai too.

It’s literally gotten to the point where I change most of the words I use to sound like I wrote it in middle school cause if it sounds too smart then it’s gonna get flagged. 😭
