@drfoy: Don’t overcompensate with your kids. Don’t try to be their cool friend. Yes, we don’t want to repeat the mistakes of our parents but removing structure is not progress. Respect still matters. Order still matters. Children need love, but they also need boundaries. Teach them that even in this modern age, laws still exist, authority still matters, and character is built through guidance, not indulgence.
