There is not a single explicit text in the Gospels where Jesus, peace be upon him, said, “Worship me,” or “I am God,” or “I am one of the persons of the Trinity,”. On the contrary, He denied that worship was due to him: “You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only you shall serve” (Matthew 10:4).
