@safepawsrescuesyd: The most heartbreaking sight was Kiki running after every car, hoping someone would stop. It shattered us — truly shattered us — to the point of feeling completely broken inside. Despite being a very small rescue, we simply didn’t have it in us to walk past her. She needed more than just food. She needed safety, warmth, and hope. We rescued her in the most horrific weather conditions, from a very busy road, after she had been cruelly abandoned. By then, her trust in humanity had already been broken. We receive no government funding for anything we do. But when you witness a broken anandoned kitty like Kiki so defeated, so lost, how are you meant to just move on? That’s why we choose to rescue adult cats — the ones so often overlooked, the ones who rarely get a second chance. To everyone who supports us so beautifully and gives us the ability to keep going — thank you.
