My cousin passed away this Monday. I didn't have a close friendship with anyone my Freshman year of highschool, until she invited me to sit with her during lunch, with all of her other friends. My relationship with her grew, and I got to know just how amazing my cousin was. She embraced every little interest of mine, and quickly became my best friend. We would hang out constantly, watch movies every weekend, go get snacks at the gas station, or go camping together during the summers. As a kid, I always looked up to her. She was the most creative, kindest, and coolest person I had ever known, but I'll never get to tell her that now. She's the one who introduced me to minecraft as a kid, a game that has stuck with me throughout my life. During the holidays, we would always start a new minecraft world with all of our cousins. It was the best fun I've ever had. She came over to my house, the day before she died. We made plans to hang out again. Plans to go to prom together. Plans for her to come to my graduation. So many plans, that will never happen now. I miss my cousin. I miss my best friend.
