This happens so much. Not only in divorce, but when a husband dies unexpectedly and the wife is left financially clueless. No access to accounts, no way to pay bills, etc. Don’t fall into that “being taken care of” mindset. It’s a rude awakening when one realizes they were indeed NOT “being taken care of.”

“Till death do us part.” And that is the traditional mindset of most marriages. You were born & raised to never question your husband. After all, you’re “safe” now & don’t have to worry that he might not have the same values/morals as yours. Honestly, I believe that most men are incapable of having Womens’ standards. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t consider marriage. It means being 100% aware of your contributions, desires, & looking after yourself. Belle didn’t do anything wrong. She TRUSTED but this trust wasn’t warranted. Hopefully her daughter & all other women will enter into any relationship with a stronger sense of self & self-worth.

That was the one advice my mother gave me that if my husband died or are we divorced that I would have a back up plan of how to support myself and it did happen to me and I did the back up plan🤗
