@actionfirstaid: A common question we get asked is: “Can you perform CPR on someone who is pregnant?” The answer is YES. In a cardiac emergency, there are now two lives at risk. Calling 911, starting CPR, and using an AED immediately gives both the mother and baby the best possible chance of survival. The baby’s additional weight can press on a major vein called the inferior vena cava, reducing blood flow back to the heart. 👉 That’s why it’s important to remember: raise the right, lay on the left. Place a pillow, blanket, sweater, or anything available under the right hip. This helps blood flow more freely back to the heart, allowing your compressions to be as effective as possible. Your actions in those first moments can make all the difference. 👉 Follow for more first aid tips and lifesaving education. #womenshearthealth #cpronsomeonepregnant #actionfirstaid #cpreducation

I was taught in a BLS class to have someone pull and hold the stomach to the left. Your technique seems much easier and requires less people. Really good info 💗
