@demetrios.gladiator: Get Ready With Me - Thraex Type B / Hoplomachvs. This specific type of gladiator is called Hoplomachus today. This class is often depicted having a Hasta, a spear as main weapon and convex bowl type of shield. In different eras the weaponry changed. The class is sometimes depicted with a long spear, some evidence suggests the ussage of a much shorter form of a spear. A discovery in the Roma City of Augusta Raurica from the 70s also indicates a weapon that is at most depicted in one specific figurine which can be found in the Museum of Berlin. It shows a Gladiator of same type but with a one handed weapon that seems to consist of a long, pointy piece. The handle of that weapon seems to be very similar if not equally to the find of Augusta Raruica. It prompted me to comission the second weapon you see. A rapier like sword. The find from Augusta Raurica is bend on top - we do not know if on purpose much like the curvature of the distinctive weapon of the Thraex Type A, also calld Sica Supina or simply Sica.
