My well produces major iron and manganese, I put a spin down filter right after bladder tank to catch any iron sediment, then it runs into a posedon iron air filtration, then to carbon then to soft water! I pretty much had that same set up and changing filters weekly which cost me about 5k in 4 years 🤦🏼♂️. System works amazing and good job explaining this to people cause it took me a lot of research to figure out my system

This is the video I needed to see having the same issue. I didn’t get a water test and just installed that same three filter set up. I knew I needed to buy some sort of aid to the 3 filters but I’ve been putting it off. Looks like I know what to buy now. This is my homeowner Diy set up. Do you have a link to the black tank?

It was a great thing when companies stopped building steel only tanks. Those fiberglass tanks are so much better. (Way easier to move too)

You can also use a spin down filter with automatic backwash to remove the big particles to help take the load off the system (or use multiple in a series from 100 to 20 micron). I use that then a 10 miron filter before going to a water conditioning tank with ozone to pull the iron,sulpher, and other nasties out before the going to the uv light). Plus the RO unit under the sink. Replace the filter quarterly, ozone refill twice a year.

Get a retention tank with a chlorinator then go to the water conditioner and then to the softener. Flush retention tank every 30 days. This worked for us.
