To think that Ed Sheeran singlehandedly seems to have more understanding of the arts than the entire political class combined is truly shocking, it enriches everyone's lives and is hugely valuable!!

It's fabulous what Ed is doing, but WHY should it be his responsibility? The government should be embarrassed!! God bless Ed for sharing his wealth. This is a class example of PAYING IT FORWARD 👏👏👏👏👏

Ed Sheeran is one of the greatest songwriters, performers, and philanthropist on top of being a great human and dad. Literally, saving the arts in Europe

I was a head of a primary, we were short of money but I would not get rid of the specialist music teacher - for some kids it was the best part of the week. I left - first thing they did was get rid of her

The arts also have a place beyond soft culture and making professionals. In my opinion, developing children's creativity makes them better overall people. More kind and empathetic, as well as curious

Thank you Ed. I have a daughter who is severely dyslexic and is very arty. And yet in school shes having nothing but reading shoved down her throat but very little to feed her love of the arts. I wish schools would see the arts as just as important as music, art etc
