Sadly too expensive…. EV’s were supposed to be our cheaper, more economical future. Instead, they’re staying above the median vehicle price. Hybrids aside, we need cheap EV’s that excel at just one thing: raw mileage, not luxury affectations.

R2 is definitely Rivian’s most important vehicle but I think the R3 has a chance to really make EVs affordable and ubiquitous. I hope Rivian succeeds and outsells Tesla.

Those damn headlights are a dealbreaker. Also, when the new Electric Scout comes out next year no one will ever want a Rivian or Tesla again. It’s not just the nicest electric car I’ve ever seen, it’s the nicest car all around.
