@nicky.reardon: Do you think a Super Bowl commercial is actually worth $10MILLION or more for a brand?? I understand it’s a huge cultural moment of the year and has huge viewership… but I can’t see this being worth it #superbowlcommercial #creatoreconomy #socialmediamarketing #brandstrategy #influencermarketing

The Super Bowl is maybe the only time consumers are excited to be advertised to. There’s already compilation videos on YouTube about the best commercials from the 2026 Super Bowl with millions of views. When else are people actively seeking out ads? I think that’s part of the appeal + the fact half the country is watching (usually in group settings) which is a better recipe for creating irl conversation about your product vs a digital asset someone might passively see on their own

From a quick web search “Approximately 6 to 6.3 million cans of Pringles are produced daily, with over 2.3 billion cans sold annually. This massive production, averaging roughly 70+ cans every second, supports sales in over 140 countries.” SOOOOO I’d say for a company like Pringle’s it would definitely be worth it they aren’t hurting. But a commercial like this isn’t designed for awareness or sales its designed for lasting brand power and cultural relevance where as influencer marketing is not. It a cultural moment that doesn’t just air once but also gets lots of hits on YouTube and socials for years to come if it’s good. I’d say working with 2k content creators isn’t a bad strategy but it’s just a fully different strategy and you have far less control over your brand image and message why you hand it over to 2,000 people. Companies like Poppi do both!

It’s mentally insane how much it costs but 135 million people watched. Vs paying 2,000 creators willing to only take 10k will most likely not land the same. Large large creators take up so much budget and still won’t reach 135 million people

A) it reaches a whole different (generally older) audience and B) if it’s a good one, it can get a lot of attention afterwards. Today show, watch mojo, etc rank them which leads to more engagement and if it’s good will end up talked about for years.
