I think it's essentially more difficult for me. or at least I think it is because I've been with this woman my entire adult life. I pretty much went from my parents house to her house and now here I am. A 24-year relationship that started when I was 19 and I'm now 43 and back out and really on my own for the first time if you think about it. this is a very scary feeling

Damn. You're making a lot of sense. This loss has felt like my entire nervous system was ripped from my body. Been trying to heal but I keep finding myself in cycles of lashing out to then regret about the things I said or did during my lash out. It feels uncontrollable. My mind set is pretty lined up with the things you have said when I am doing well, but then I get triggered by whatever and I spiral out to these insane lash out modes.
