@sydgeorgeson: EDIT: Obviously I won’t make everyone happy but… addressing this as a class was the most logical solution when I only had a short period of time to address it. I don’t have time to call back 17 students individually and talk to them about the sub🤷🏻♀️ Sometimes these kids need tough love but they always come around #teachertok #toughlove #title1school #teachersoftiktok #secondgradeteacher
Thank you for not punishing the kids who behaved. My daughter has been struggling this year with a rough class and feels so defeated when the whole class gets things taken away when she’s behaving.

I use the term "guest teacher" since I think that helps kiddos realize they are teachers too.

As a sub I appreciate that you went back and discussed with your students about their actions. Thank you

From a substitute, thank you. It is a very difficult job and holding them responsible helps other subs in the future.

I like that you didn’t just give the whole class a consequence. You called out the bad behavior, you gave a consequence, and thanked the ones that did behave. 👏

This is how children learn accountability, responsibility and consequences… building functional adults. Love the way this teacher loved her students.. she held them to the standard she knows they are cable of🥰🥰🥰🥰
